After adjusting for age, sex, coronary heart disease, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, NYHA functional class III e IV, BMI, left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), LogBNP, PNI, HB, serum chloride, serum sodium, CRE, UA, GFR and CRP, the serum chloride level was still an independent predictor of all-cause mortality in patients with ADHF (HR: 0.90, 95% CI 0.87–0.93; P < 0.0001).
