In persons with DS, there is triplication of four interferon (IFN) receptors: the two type I IFN receptors (IFNAR1 and IFNAR2), the type II IFN receptor (IFNGR2), and IL10RB, which is a receptor subunit for both type III ligands as well as cytokines IL‐10, IL‐22, and IL‐26.33 This evidence concerns the gene IFNAR1 and Dravet syndrome.
