Fusions of YAP or TAZ with other genes, including TAZ-CAMTA1, YAP-MAMLD1, YAP-MAML2, YAP-FAM118B, YAP-KMT2A, YAP-TFE3, and YAP-NUTM1, have been reported in various rare tumors such as epithelioid hemangioendothelioma, glioma, supratentorial ependymoma, etc. Similarly, fusion events affecting key components of the Hippo pathway have been found in patients with lung cancer. The gene discussed is YAP1; the disease is central nervous system cancer.
