Considering that the Drosophila WRNexo protein shares many molecular and biochemical characteristics of the human WRN protein (Brosh et al. 2001; Saunders et al. 2008; Boubriak et al. 2009; Mason et al. 2013; Cassidy et al. 2019; Epiney et al. 2021), we suggest that nutritional interventions and treatments for individuals with WS should be performed with care. This evidence concerns the gene WRN and Werner syndrome.
