In this study, we found that 5 μM and 10 μM USP24-i (Fig. 1A) or USP24-i-101 (Fig. 1B) treatment induced LC3-II in several cell lines, including lung cancer cells A549 cells, Taxol-induced drug resistant A549 cells (A549-T24) (Fig. 1A(a)), PC9 cells and gefitinib-induced drug resistant PC9 cells (PC9-GR) (Fig. 1A(b)), liver cells, Huh-7 and HepG2 cells (Fig. 1A(c)), and breast cancer cells, MCF7 and MDA-MB231 cells (Fig. 1A(d)). This evidence concerns the gene USP24 and breast carcinoma.
