In multivariable analyses, we found that a higher preoperative Se level (adjusted OR 0.91, 95% CI: 0.87–0.99) was significantly associated with decreased risk of CSA-AKI, after adjusting age, sex, BMI, hypertension, diabetes, chronic heart failure, atrial fibrillation, CPB time, serum creatinine, hemoglobin and albumin. This evidence concerns the gene ALB and atrial fibrillation.
