Aspirin is appreciated for its analgesic and anti‐inflammatory actions.[32] Recent studies uncovered that aspirin plays a protective role in colitis‐associated colorectal cancer.[33] To further investigate whether SIRT1‐K408 acetylation could influence the pathogenesis of IBD, we generated the whole‐body K408R (mimic‐deacetylation) and K408Q (mimic‐acetylation) knockin mice by CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated genome engineering. The gene discussed is SIRT1; the disease is inflammatory bowel disease.
