Ki-67 expression is strongly related to tumor cellproliferation and is commonly used as a proliferation prognostic andpredictive indicator in a number of tumor types.157 Ki-67 appeared to be closely correlated with pancreatictumor severity.158 There is a correlationbetween Ki-67 expression and patient survival in a number of othercancers, e.g., cervical and uterine cancers, non-Hodgkin’slymphoma, and gastrointestinal cancer.157. The gene discussed is MKI67; the disease is neoplasm.
