SLC16A1-antisense nucleic acid 1 (AS1) is highly expressed in kidney cancer, and is associated with overall survival; knockdown of SLC16A1-AS1 expression suppresses the proliferation and migration of kidney cancer cells, and SLC16A1-AS1 induces ferroptosis in kidney cancer through the miR-143-3p/SLC7A11 axis (Li et al., 2022). This evidence concerns the gene SLC7A11 and kidney cancer.
