To do this, we examined existing datasets from genome-wide CRISPR-Cas9 and RNAi screens of several breast cancer cell lines (Fig. 8A), and found that the candidate gene ACTN1 was essential in 12 out of 18 TNBC cell lines, suggesting its importance for the viability of TNBC cells (Fig. 8B). This evidence concerns the gene ACTN1 and breast carcinoma.
