The regulatory role of NSUN6 in cellular proliferation was confirmed through in vitro functional assays with pancreatic cancer cell lines and in vivo with mouse xenograft models, where NSUN6 overexpression suppressed tumor growth and up-regulated cyclin-dependent kinase 10 (CDK10) at the transcriptional level (93). This evidence concerns the gene CDK10 and familial pancreatic carcinoma.
