The CVs of these cytokines, especially IL-6 (median [IQR]: 1.35 [0.96–1.85], 140.95-fold), IL-10 (1.15 [0.85–1.68], 120.37-fold), IL-1α (1.08 [0.31–1.46], 99.89-fold), IL-26 (0.94 [0.38–1.37], 99.48-fold), MCP-3 (1.38 [0.66–1.87], 130.28-fold), MMP-1 (0.73 [0.21–1.30], 95.75-fold), IFN-α2 (0.69 [0.00–1.59], 95.61-fold), IL-1ra (0.87 [0.57–1.20], 94.89-fold), and TNF-α (0.78 [0.51–0.96], 83.64-fold), in the SARS-CoV-2 subgroup were extremely increased compared to the no infection subgroup, with significant differences with Bonferroni correction (p < 0.00035) (Figure 4A). This evidence concerns the gene TNF and infection.
