The percentages of the classical (C) monocytes (CD14++ CD16−) showed a significant decrease in the CS patients’ group (37.08 ± 13.95; p < 0.001) and in the elderly (46–65 years: 63.69 ± 11.49; p = 0.0004) compared to the healthy donors’ group (18–29 years: 78.6 ± 7.03) (Figure 5a). The gene discussed is CD14; the disease is Cowden syndrome 1.
