In the investigation conducted by Zheng et al. (2014) using human esophageal cancer cell line EC-9706, it was found that quercetin treatment resulted in the inhibition of RelA/p65 activity, downregulation of HDAC1, RelA, and cyclin D1, and upregulation of caspase-3 and p16INK4α [305]. This evidence concerns the gene RELA and esophageal cancer.
