According to a previous study, a four-marker biosignature (for MMP-9, sIL6R, IFN-γ, and IL-2Ra) was able to detect TB in HIV-positive individuals, with an AUC of 0.96, sensitivity of 85.7% (95% confidence interval (CI) 42.1–99.6%), and specificity of 94.7% (95% CI 74.0–99.9%). The gene discussed is IL6R; the disease is tuberculosis.
