PKM and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis: hAnxA5 specifically regulates hepatic macrophages by directly interacting with M2-type pyruvate kinase (PKM2) and significantly switches metabolic reprogramming from glycolysis to oxidative phosphorylation in activated macrophages [82]; thus, the steatosis, inflammation, and fibrosis of NASH model mice can be improved, which is conducive to the further treatment of NASH.
