DSPP and amelogenesis imperfecta: The lack of degradation of amelogenin, ameloblastin, enamelin as well as dentin sialophosphoprotein (DSPP), which is a precursor for dentin sialoprotein (DSP), dentin glycoprotein (DGP), and dentin phosphoprotein (DPP), and their subsequent accumulation in the enamel may be responsible for deficient enamel mineralization, and that may result in amelogenesis imperfecta or be associated with molar–incisor hypomineralisation [90,92].
