BACE1 and early-onset autosomal dominant Alzheimer disease: Among different mechanisms regulating the pathophysiology of the brain diseases, Wnt/β-catenin signaling is an essential signal transduction pathway that has emerged as a central pivot for the regulation of multiple different pathways in Alzheimer’s disease (AD) pathogenesis including neuronal survival, the inhibition of Bace1 expression, and the suppression of Aβ production [9,21,22].
