Adapted changes in the inflammatory potential of the gut immune environment in hepatic steatosis were observed in CII and AII tissue samples reported to controls (IL-2+: CII: 40.16 ± 6.51; AII: 37.67 ± 4.09 vs. C: 13.93 ± 5.03, p < 0.05; CD4+: CII: 46.98 ± 5.74; AII: 59.33 ± 4.34; vs. C: 30.97 ± 9.15, p > 0.05, p < 0.01, Figure 2A,B and Figure 3D,G,K,N). Here, CD4 is linked to fatty liver disease.
