IL-10 spots after stimulation with tetanus toxoid had the highest predictive value (p = 0.005) for the occurrence of high tumor burden (>median), with an area under the curve (AUC) of 0.90 (cutoff 11.5 spots: sensitivity 100%, specificity 78%, likelihood ratio (LR) 4.5), followed by responses after stimulation with Candida albicans (p = 0.03, AUC 0.83, sensitivity 100%, specificity 67%) and tuberculin (p = 0.03, AUC 0.81, sensitivity 88%, specificity 67%) (Figure 2b–d).
