Our results showed that MSUT2 (in green) only occasionally co-localized with PHF-1-positive neurofibrillary tangles (NFTs, in red) in AD and CBD brains, and in general we did not observe a high level of colocalization between MSUT2-positive neurons and the presence of NFTs in diseased brains. This evidence concerns the gene ZC3H14 and Alzheimer disease.
