As Sirtuin 1 (Sirt1) has been shown to be important to cardiovascular disease, inflammation, cognition, hippocampal function, cerebral blood flow and learning and memory (54, 55) and Sirt1 and Sirt6 suppress inflammation, Sirt1 prevents apoptosis and cell death, Sirt3 inhibits oxidative stress and Sirt2 regulates LDL cholesterol by inhibiting PCSK9 and increases LDL receptors on the cell surface of hepatocytes (56), we also determined expression levels of sirtuins in aorta. This evidence concerns the gene LDLR and cardiovascular disorder.
