The second-generation EGFR-TKI dacomitinib is used as one of the standard therapies, and in the ARCHER1050 study, dacomitinib was superior to gefitinib as first-line therapy for EGFR mutation-positive NSCLC in PFS (14.7 m vs 9.2 m HR0.59; 95% CI 0.47–0.74 p < 0.001) and significantly prolonged OS (34.1 m vs 26.8 m HR0.760; 95% CI 0.582–0.993 p = 0.044) [24]. This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
