USP7 and cancer: A recent study revealed that a circular RNA derived from ribosomal protein S19 (circRPS19) upregulates hexokinase 2 (HK2) through USP7‐mediated deubiquitination, consequently inducing aerobic glycolysis in GC cells and fostering GC progression.[8] Additionally, USP7 acts upstream to regulate Programmed Death‐Ligand 1 (PD‐L1), a protein involved in cancer immune resistance and growth.
