AMT and breast carcinoma: Mutations in this gene in humans lead to nonketotic hyperglycinemia.16 Proteomic analysis reveals that AMT protein expression can be upregulated by the effect of retinoic acids in breast cancer cells, which is associated with tumor cell apoptosis.17 Here, we identified that AMT was downregulated in CRC specimens and that its higher level was significantly linked to better overall survival in CRC patients.
