In a study of 22 canine patients with pancreatic carcinoma, some biochemical changes were described, such as elevations in canine pancreatic lipase immunoreactivity (CPLI), ester lipase (DGGR lipase), canine trypsin-like immunoreactivity (cTLI), C-reactive protein (CPR), alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and alkaline phosphatase (ALP) (Aupperle-Lellbach et al. 2019). This evidence concerns the gene GPT and exocrine pancreatic carcinoma.
