Indeed, in CDDP-resistant A2780 CIS cells the mitochondrial and lysosomal turnover through the mTOR-TFEB axis, notoriously implied in lysosomal/mitochondrial biogenesis and in autophagy and mitophagy pathways [66–70], is significantly compromised, possibly as a consequence of the p53 mutation that may affect the complex cross-talk between p53 and mTOR pathway overseeing MQC and lysophagy [90, 91].
