HOXC9 was previously reported to play a promotive role in oncogenesis [18], repressive TME [19], as well as the chemotherapy resistance of bladder cancer [26] High HOXC9 expression in LUAD indicated better OS and DFS, whereas HOXC9 expression levels were not associated with OS or DFS in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), which may originate from differential pattern of immune cell infiltration [19]. The gene discussed is HOXC9; the disease is squamous cell lung carcinoma.
