At 1 mg/mL sericin vs. untreated, there were 17 downregulated DEGs (HSPA1A, HSPA8, DDIT3, PIK3R1, PPP3CA, TRAF6, ABCA1, POU2F1, APOB, MAPK8IP3, TAOK2, MAP3K2, FGFR1, DYNC1H1, HSPA5, PRKAB2, DCNT) that are were involved in lipid metabolism and atherosclerosis, the MAPK signaling pathway, selective autophagy, microautophagy and autophagy in hepatic cells, while 4 genes (MAP1LC3B, MAP1LC3B, RRS27A, TOMM5) associated with autophagy were upregulated. This evidence concerns the gene POU2F1 and atherosclerosis.
