IGF2BP2, a member of the insulin-like growth factor 2 mRNA-binding protein family, is related to type 2 diabetes-related genes [42, 43] reported that locus variants in IGF2BP2, such as genetic polymorphisms, inhibited the ability of insulin secretion in patients with type 2 diabetes during the disease progression phase in Dutch and German populations. This evidence concerns the gene INS and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
