No gene passed the genome-wide significance threshold of 2.5 × 10−6 in these analyses, but three genes were identified at p < 10−5, with CABLES1 and PPP2R5C in high-grade serous ovarian cancers, without or with adjustment for stage, respectively, and FAM35A in all ovarian cancers after adjustment for stage (Table 1). The gene discussed is PPP2R5C; the disease is ovarian carcinoma.
