No gene passed the genome-wide significance threshold of 2.5 × 10−6 in these analyses, but three genes were identified at p < 10−5, with CABLES1 and PPP2R5C in high-grade serous ovarian cancers, without or with adjustment for stage, respectively, and FAM35A in all ovarian cancers after adjustment for stage (Table 1). This evidence concerns the gene SHLD2 and ovarian serous adenocarcinoma.
