Together, these correlative glioblastoma patient’s findings are consistent with the hypothesis that LDHA–YAP1/STAT3–CCL2/CCL7 axis drives macrophage infiltration, and suggest that LDHA, CCL2 and CCL7 might function as biomarkers for glioblastoma patients, although these data are still relatively preliminary. The gene discussed is STAT3; the disease is glioblastoma.
