Phenotype of increased mortality in whole‐body SIRT5 KO mice model subjected to pressure overload‐induced hypertrophy by TAC surgery was not repeated in cardiomyocyte‐specific SIRT5 KO mouse model; ablation of SIRT5 resulted in accumulation of protein succinylation, however, no difference in survival between cardiomyocyte‐specific SIRT5 KO mice after TAC surgery and their littermate controls was found. Here, SIRT5 is linked to persistent truncus arteriosus.
