Interestingly, we found enrichment for several pathways related to different neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's disease, Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, Huntington's disease, Prion's disease, and AD, indicating that the tau hyperphosphorylation observed in the brain of PS19 transgenic mice reflects the status of different tauopathies, thus validating the use of this model to study different neurodegenerative diseases. This evidence concerns the gene MAPT and Alzheimer disease.
