After combining both datasets, ANKRD1 was found to have significantly higher mRNA expression in adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC), CHOL, glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), LIHC, OV, pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PAAD), STAD, UCEC, and uterine carcinosarcoma (UCS), but lower mRNA expression in COAD, HNSC, brain lower grade glioma (LGG), LUAD, LUSC, rectum adenocarcinoma (READ), skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), testicular germ cell tumor (TGCT), and thyroid carcinoma (THCA) (Fig. 1B). This evidence concerns the gene ANKRD1 and cutaneous melanoma.
