Compared to adjacent normal tissues, ANKRD1 mRNA expression was significantly increased in cholangiocarcinoma (CHOL), COAD, liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), and uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), but decreased in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), kidney Chromophobe (KICH), lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), and lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC) tissues based on data from the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database (Fig. 1A). This evidence concerns the gene ANKRD1 and uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma.
