CRP and myocardial infarction: Although salivary CRP and adiponectin offer a paradigm shift in isolation and localization of biomolecules in both health and disease, the ability to bypass inflammation in situ regardless of the condition and to stratify and correlate disease activity with a systemic condition is a challenge given the pathophysiological mechanisms that relate marginally close in terms of disease activity but abundantly in terms of ischemia as in myocardial infarction.
