PINX1 and neoplasm: The experimental protocol is illustrated in Fig. 1E. In parallel with the in vitro experiments, the in vivo assays showed that silencing PinX1 plus IR significantly delayed tumor growth (mean tumor volume ± SEM: 838.55 ± 123.90 mm3 IR vs 343.08 ± 13.20 mm3 silencing PinX1 + IR, p = 0.002; Fig. 1F, G) and improved survival(8.56 ± 0.85 days IR vs 11.13 ± 0.74 days silencing PinX1 plus IR, p = 0.031; Fig. 1H) in nude mice compared with radiation alone.
