To further demonstrate whether SOCS5-SREBP1 mediated lipogenesis leaded to HCC invasion and migration, we found that overexpression of SOCS5 increased the invasion and migration capacity of Huh7 cells through wound healing and transwell experiments, while Fatostatin can reverse this effect (Fig. 6f, h). The gene discussed is SOCS5; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
