ALB and infection: Notably, age (OR 1.02; 95% CI 1.01–1.04; p = 0.010), vascular disease (OR 9.28; 95% CI 2.04–42.20; p = 0.004), infection originated from abdomen (OR 2.31; 95% CI 1.02–5.22; p = 0.044), and level of albumin (OR 0.89; 95% CI 0.84–0.94; p = 0.000) were shown to be associated with hypovitaminosis C (Table 2).
