In the training set, 144 (62.2%) patients were hypovitaminosis C. In the univariable logistic regression analyses, age, levels of albumin, CRP, PT, NT-pro BNP, D-dimer, PCT, sepsis, SOFA score, source of infection, and vascular disease were found to be associated with hypovitaminosis C. The ORs with 95% CI are shown in Table 2. This evidence concerns the gene CRP and infection.
