Western blot analysis showed that excretion of heparanase, cathepsin C, α2-macroglobulin, and integrin αV was increased in SCD mice when they were 4 months old compared with a non-SCD mouse at the same age, while HSP27 was not detectable in their urine exosomes (Figure 3D).
