To investigate whether Empagliflozin treatment has an impact on the vascular system after stroke, we evaluated cerebral vascular changes in terms of vessel (PDXL+), total pericyte density (CD13+) and coverage (CD13+/PDXL+ ratio), vessel length and branching, markers of pericyte activation (CD13+/NG2+), and BBB leakage by assessing extravascular albumin and fibrinogen. This evidence concerns the gene ALB and stroke disorder.
