The results of the partial correlation test indicated that both serum IL-6 (r = 0.29, p = 0.048) and IL-17 (r = 0.33, p = 0.003) concentrations were significantly associated with long-term COVID sequelae, independently of patients' age, sex, dialysis vintage, BMI, Kt/V, IDWG, serum phosphate levels, and acute COVID-19 severity. This evidence concerns the gene IL6 and COVID-19.
