In both in vivo (50, 100, 200 μM/L) and in vitro (4 mg/kg, for 30 days) studies, crocetin exhibited inhibitory effects on cell proliferation in pancreatic cancer cells by significantly modifying the expression of Cdc-2, Cdc-25C, Cyclin-B1, and epidermal growth factor receptor. This evidence concerns the gene CCNB1 and pancreatic neoplasm.
