Fasudil treatment resulted in significant improvement in motor symptoms in rodent models of PD (He et al., 2016; Tatenhorst et al., 2016), improved cognition in a transgenic mouse model of Alzheimer’s disease (Yan et al., 2021), and prolonged survival in a Parkin drosophila model (Moskal et al., 2020). This evidence concerns the gene PRKN and Parkinson disease.
