Our in vitro data showed that small interfering RNA (siRNA)–mediated knockdown of Twist1, but not Snail (Fig. 2A), inhibited human GBM ECs-induced immunosuppressive Mφ polarization, as indicated by reduced expressions of CD206 (Fig. 2B) and IL-10, a major immunosuppressive cytokine secreted by Mφs (Fig. 2C). This evidence concerns the gene SNAI1 and glioblastoma.
