In line with the findings above, the results in the present study displayed that HCC cell‐derived exosomes were internalized into macrophages, and led to the upregulation of TGF‐β and IL‐10 as well as downregulation of IL‐12, which highlighted the role of HCC cell‐derived exosomes in modulating the immune response and inflammation. The gene discussed is TGFB1; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
