To investigate the role of exosomal ADAM17 in the disruption of blood vessel barriers and induction of cancer metastasis in vivo, control cell lines (HCT116) were implanted into murine ceca, and Nor-HCT116 and EMT-HCT116 exosomes were administered to assess the effects of exosomal proteins on vascular barrier function and tumor metastasis, respectively (Fig. 4a). The gene discussed is ADAM17; the disease is cancer.
