CCL4 and Hepatic failure: According to a study conducted by Al-Asmari, Athar [34], L. sativum seeds have enhanced hepatoprotective activity against CCL4 (1 mL/kg b.w. via the intraperitoneal route)-induced liver failure in rats, which could be attributed to their antioxidant activity combined with the presence of anti-inflammatory compounds in L. sativum extract.
