Next, through an O-propargyl-puromycin (OPP)-based assay33, we found decreased global protein synthesis after PRMT9 KD in cancer cells (Fig. 3f and Extended Data Fig. 4b–d), while protein synthesis in normal CD34+ cells was modestly altered (Fig. 3f and Extended Data Fig. 4b).
