To further investigate the potential mechanisms linking elevated plasma ITGA1 levels to cardiac dysfunction and the development of HFpEF, we retrieved proteomic data for left ventricular myocardial tissue from individuals with type 2 diabetes with and without HFpEF from the ProteomeXchange database (http://proteomecentral.proteomexchange.org, accessed on 10 July 2023) and conducted a comparative proteomic analysis. The gene discussed is ITGA1; the disease is type 2 diabetes mellitus.
